The blonde image is rightly considered feminine and sensual. The palette of shades of blonde amazes with its variety, so every woman can find a suitable option in it.

What is a blond

The natural blonde includes the whole palette of light: from almost white to bright wheat shades. Typical owners of such hair are residents of Scandinavian countries.

This hair color is very popular among celebrities. Some of the stars naturally had dark hair, but changed their native color to blonde. They include Marilyn Monroe, Brigitte Bardot, Madonna, Gwen Stephanie, Reese Witherspoon, Britney Spears, Charlize Theron, Shakira, Scarlett Johansson and Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Fashionable blonde shades

All light shades are divided into cold and warm. The first group includes white, grayish and pearly tones. These types of blondes harmonize with the cold appearance – “in summer” and “in winter”. The second group includes soft pastel tones based on beige and gold.

Cold

Among the cold shades of blonde are the following:

Ashy. The trendy color, which is growing in popularity day by day. It is a mix of grey, pearl, steel and platinum. It looks great on long hairstyles. It is very difficult to achieve a beautiful ashtray shade, so for dyeing you need to contact an experienced colorist and use only professional dyes. It is ideal for blonde and blond girls. And brunettes and brushes will have to completely discolour their hair before dyeing to get an ashes blonde.

Platinum. Noble and demanding shade. Suitable for girls with perfect light skin color, as the slightest redness, wrinkles or peeling will become even more noticeable against its background. This color is a combination of pearl, pearl, white and light rustic. Platinum blonde looks best when combined with bright accents in makeup, such as dark lipstick.

Natural. A natural shade that combines transparent golden, nutty and light ashy notes. As a result of dyeing hair gets a natural blond without yellowing and redheads.

Blonde blonde. Intermediate variant occupying a place between light blonde and blonde colour. It belongs to the dark blonde category: nut, grey, beige and cold ashes are combined in this colour.

Pearl. Cold shades of white, grey, cream, pink, white and pink are intertwined in this. You can also consider almost imperceptible notes of purple colour.

Scandinavian. This is ideal for the owners of the northern appearance, having very light skin, transparent blue, steel, grey or green eyes. Scandinavian blonde is almost white, cold and without yellow hair. It has a subtle glow.

Pearlescent. A shade with a translucent base and a subtle glossy shine. It contains cold creamy notes, a little bit of purple and blue pigment, as well as a white gold colour. The mother-of-pearl colour is a bit like a pearl, but it is lighter.

Grey. If only a couple of years ago women fought with natural grey, today they create it artificially with the help of hair dye. The grey colour became popular after the young fashion editor of British Vogue Sarah Harris appeared in public with a completely grey hair. This colour resembles ashes, but it has more grey steel notes.

Blond. Occupies an intermediate position between the white and “dirty” blonde. This shade looks optimally on “summer” girls and owners of appearance such as “uncontrasting winter”. It has grey, nutty and light brown shades intertwined in it. The shade looks very natural, so if you choose a colour you are guided by a craving for naturalness – this is what you need.

The Arctic. Very cold blond, in which white, icy notes are combined with pearl and ashy colour. This is a very capricious shade of blonde, which is not suitable for all women.

Strawberry. Multi-faceted and interesting colour, in which pastel notes of pink, apricot and pearl tones are combined. Achieving a beautiful strawberry colour is not easy, as in the case of unsuccessful colouring you can get red or red.

Pink. This trendy hair colour is a bit like strawberry, but it is brighter. This shade is a mix of cold gold with violet and pink notes. The pink blonde is beautifully combined with any length of haircut: from short bean carts to long romantic curls.

“Dirty. Cold blonde, which is a cross between nut-and-blond and blonde colour. Despite the unattractive name, this colour is used by many celebrities – Taylor Swift, Kara Delevinh, Dautzen Krez.

Warm shades

The palette of a warm blonde is represented by such fashionable shades as

Peach. It is a warm blonde, a bit like strawberry. The difference is that it has more soft golden notes with a slight tint of light bronze.

Beige. If you like nude tones, the shade of “beige blonde” is what you should pay attention to in the first place. This color looks simple, concise and very expensive at the same time. It is based on a mixture of sandy colour and an old gold shade. It looks most advantageously on girls of “spring” and “summer” appearance, having from nature blond hair – brown or blond.

Caramel. Soft and gentle dark blonde, which combines golden reflections with notes of cinnamon and honey. It looks great on girls with southern appearance, who dream to turn into blondes: caramel shade favourably emphasizes dark skin and brown eyes. An excellent example is Shakira, Rita Ora and Jessica Alba.

Pink gold. The shade is quite extravagant, based on the warm color of gold, as well as sandy and pastel pink notes. Collier looks both expensive and a little shocking.

Wheat. It is a natural shade of blonde, which looks as natural as possible. It is harmoniously combined with light skin and light color of eyes – blue, green, gray. In the same way, the wheat shade looks like a winning one next to slightly tanned skin. This natural colour seems to shimmer in the sun, playing with honey and golden tones.

Linen. Blondes with linen hair are often found in the middle of Russia. It is a very light natural colour, represented by a mix of beige, grey and milk tones.

Honey. It is a natural, soft and warm blond. It is based on golden-beige, mixed with caramel and light red glare. This colour can be chosen both for tanned swarthy women and girls with very light skin.

Sandy. Very warm shade in which noble yellowish-beige notes prevail. Depending on the colour saturation, they can be supplemented with a greyish or brick-red glare.

Vanilla. Extremely gentle and “tasty” variant for hair dyeing. It is based on a translucent pastel pigment that resembles vanilla flower petals. This tone is a worthy choice for girls with spring appearance.

Blonde selection according to appearance: skin tone, eyes and hair

Spring Color Type Appearance

The most natural variant for dyeing in blondes. Girls of this type have light skin with peach, milk or beige tint, blue or light green eyes. Due to the fact that “spring” is a warm colour type, it fits warm shades: golden, honey, wheat, linen and sand.

“Summer” girls

Owners of porcelain-pale leather with grey or olive shade, blue-grey, walnut or transparent blue eyes. By nature have brown, slightly dusty hair. Women of this type are suitable for platinum, pearl, “dirty” and ashes blond.

Representatives of the “autumn” colour scheme

Have naturally chestnut, copper or red curls, pinkish-beige or peach skin. Most often they are brown-eyed or green-eyed. If the “autumn” girl wants to dye her hair blondly, she should choose colours with a warm tint: caramel, gold, honey. When choosing a reddish shade of colour (e.g. pink gold or strawberry), you should be careful: red shades can emphasize freckles and make your face look unsightly.

Winter” colour scheme

It is represented by three types: contrast, non-contrast and southern. If you have porcelain-pale skin, bright blue or almost black eyes and dark hair, you are a representative of the contrasting “winter”. Choose bold cold shades – platinum, arctic, ashy, pearl. If your skin has an olive-beige or pinkish shade, eye colour – greyish blue, light-cerium or greenish, then you have a non-contrasting “winter” appearance.

And girls of Mediterranean appearance with dark brown or black hair, dark bronze or olive skin and brown eyes are representatives of the “southern winter”. The optimal solution for them is staining with caramel, strawberry, honey and peach notes.

A rather extreme variant for the “southern winter” is staining in platinum or arctic blonde: that’s what Kim Kardashian and Rita Ora did, and they didn’t make a mistake at all.

Hair dyeing techniques

If you decide to become blonde, you can choose the right dyeing option for you:

Painting with dark roots (smoky blond and omber). Smokey blonds are similar to omber, but it means the emphasis is not on the tips, but on the roots of the hair. The difference in colour when performing smoky blond is only 1-2 tones. The technique of dyeing omber implies a deeper contrast between the roots and tips.

Melting. If you like naturalness, choose California’s melting. This type of dyeing is done on blonde hair and allows you to achieve the effect of sunburned hair.

Balajazh. This type of dyeing is a bit like California melting because it also allows you to achieve the effect of burned-out hair. But unlike melioration, the yarns are not treated along the entire length of the balayage, but with a small indentation from the roots. Nut, sand and platinum shades are used as the accentuated colour of balalaire for light hair.

Stretch out the colour. Evenly stretches the colour to achieve a smooth transition of tones. This is the most natural variant of gradient colouring of hair.

To avoid disappointment in the final result, choose the colouring composition carefully. If you’re new to dyeing, it’s best to do it in the cabin, not at home. In order to prevent the dyed hair from becoming yellow, it is advisable to use professional dyes: “Londa”, “Garnier”, “Matrix”, “Estelle” (e.g. the High blond de luxe series).

If you prefer natural dyes, you can give your hair a lighter shade with chamomile decoction, lemon juice, masks with glycerin and hydrogen peroxide. But keep in mind that the result may not be the way you conceived it.

How to take care of your hair after dying?

  • To get the perfect, you often have to completely brighten and your hair. This procedure spoils the curls, so after dyeing regularly make nourishing masks and apply natural oils – olive, cocoa or coconut – to the ends of your hair.
  • To prolong blonde life, use shampoos and balms marked “for light coloured hair” and rinse with chamomile decoction after washing.
  • Keep an eye on the grown-up roots and paint them in time.
  • Bright hairs attract attention to the skin, so keep it in perfect condition.
  • Don’t forget your makeup: blonde shades blend in with bright accents such as icy fig or red lips.
  • If the colouring results in undesirable yellowness, it can be neutralised with shampoos and tonic tones with purple pigment.
  • Bright hair is usually thin and brittle. Therefore, it is advisable to dry them naturally or use a cold jet of air.
  • Protect your hair from UV light. Wear hats in summer or apply SPF filter protection to the curls.
  • To emphasise staining, you can do a beautiful hairstyle, such as a complex weave or simply twisted curls.

In the world culture there is a stable stereotype of a blonde woman: she is a sexual, feminine and successful woman. So if you want to get closer to this image, it’s time to dye your hair in fashionable shades of blonde!
